Mission Statement: Wings of refuge is a long-term restoration home for female adults who have survived commercial sexual exploitation and/or trafficking. we provide a safe, christ centered atmosphere of healing and restoration for each participant. Here are some of the key programs we worked on last year: - Program 1: Education/awareness expenses include: 1:1 sessions including trauma education, spiritual development, boundaries, media literacy, health coaching, and other individualized programming; group sessions including celebrate recovery, worship, and devotions; job skills training such as interviewing, resume writing, and financial literacy; continuing education including both online and class attendance. - Program 2: Mentoring/life skills expenses including: monthly individualized 1:1 short and long term goal setting sessions; ongoing mentoring for charting personal restoration and goal accomplishments; personalized life skills training; volunteer and mentoring relationship building. - Program 3: Safety/housing/basic needs expenses including: provided safe 24/7 staffed, long-term housing for up to five women: updated/remodeled art room, therapy room and garden area; added additional security systems; ensured safe transportation to appointments, jobs, and activities.
