About

We are a non-profit "running" group that pairs athletes with disabilities with able-bodied volunteer guides to walk, run, or roll.

We are not currently having group workout/meetups in person due to the Coronavirus pandemic. BUT we are still meeting every Saturday at 10 for a Virtual hangout/workout! Click our Zoom link above with Meeting ID: 749 1641 5103 Passcode: Achilles.  Check us out virtually and look forward to joining us in person! Follow us @achillesarkansas on Instagram and Facebook for updates!

Before COVID, we met up every Saturday at Lake Fayetteville at 10 a.m. We hope to resume group workouts soon when we are able to safely. In the meantime in addition to our group Virtual Zooms, we are pairing up individual athletes with a disability with 1-2 guides for workouts to walk, run, or roll together but following social distance guidelines.  If you are interested in this, please contact Mary directly. If you join for the first time, you will be complete a 1 time volunteer form ahead of time and you will meet with another current volunteer/member.

Please be aware of social distance recommendations including: maintaining 6 feet between all, wearing mask if unable to maintain social distance, cough/sneeze in your elbow away from others, and wash hands before/after all activity.  Do not attend if you have had a fever, are not feeling well in any way, are awaiting COVID test results, or have been in contact with anyone suspected of having Coronavirus within 14 days.
